Kekkaishi Volume 1 Review

I will be reviewing in chapters because some people read their manga online in, er, chapters.
Chapter 1: Yoshimori and Tokine
Summary: "Blah, blah, blah", also known as  the explanation of WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE?!?!?!?!?!?!
My Impression of it:
This was a great way to start off a story. Full of action, humor, and, um, whatever else it's full of. I really enjoyed it. How couldn't I?
Chapter 2: Scars
Summary: Basically an extension of "Blah, blah, blah" (see above).
My Impression of it:
In this case, the anime episode was actually a lot better ("My secret weapon: tennis shoes!") and this chapter was sort of a no-action dead pancakes (I don't like pancakes, unfortunately) thing. The good thing about it, though, was that it was FUNNY!!!! YAY!!!
Chapter 3: Yoshimori's Ambition
Summary: Yoshimori meets the ghost of a patissier. The end.
My Impression of it:
Does anybody here like cabbage? I really prefer lettuce, but I'll have it occasionally. I wonder why the ghost needed cabbage.
Chapter 4: Human Ghost
Summary: Yoshimori is awesome.
My Impression of it:
I didn't really get the "cut off-scissor hand" thing that was going on. This was probably the worst enemy in kekkaishi (in sense of BAD BAD BAD weird hard to get so freaky it's frightening).
Chapter 5: Nutrients
Summary: Tokine calls Yoshimori digusting.
My Impression of it:
I really liked the ending of it. You know, you have a fun-and-games la la la chapter with a heavily forshadowed ending.
Chapter 6: A Dangerous Man
Summary: Meet Mino.
My Impression of it:
Now, THIS is where Yoshimori's imagination really runs away. It's really a nice chapter (or at least I thought so).
Chapter 7: Flower of Passion
Summary: Yoshimori wants a cake.
My Impression of it:
So do I.
